FUEL AFRICA 2024: HEALTHTECH & GREEN INNOVATIONS FOR AFRICA

oday, Fuel Africa 2024, a groundbreaking initiative hosted by Futurize, has successfully concluded, marking a significant milestone in integrating healthcare technology innovations with climate change solutions across the African continent.

Through the collaborative efforts of AstraZeneca through the A.Catalyst Network, and co-funded by Bristol Myers Squibb, the initiative aims to tackle immediate healthcare challenges while also devising strategies for fortifying resilient healthcare systems. Fuel Africa 2024 wasn’t your average conference. This groundbreaking initiative brought together over 1200 students and professionals from 12 countries and 22 universities. Their mission? To tackle Africa’s most pressing challenges in healthcare and climate change.

The program wasn’t just about brainstorming ideas. Over 30 hours of workshops, masterclasses, and mentoring sessions equipped these teams with the knowledge and skills to turn their ideas into reality.
