Kodex Africa and the Anambra State ICT Agency hosted a delegation of emerging entrepreneurs from the Enterprise Development Centre (@EDC4SME) on Thursday, March 21, 2024. This initiative aims to foster innovation and collaboration within Anambra State’s tech ecosystem.
The visit, part of a broader effort to support entrepreneurship, was explained by Mrs. Nnenna Ugwu, Head of the Alumni Relations and Support Services Department at Pan Atlantic University. She highlighted the partnership between EDC and the Mastercard Foundation for the ‘Transforming Nigeria Youth Programme’.
Mrs. Ugwu emphasized that the program aims to empower Nigerian youths aged 15 to 35 by equipping them with essential skills and resources for sustainable employment.
She noted the significant benefits of such partnerships, including job creation, market access, business formalization, and overall economic development.
Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, MD/CEO of Anambra State ICT Agency, shared success tips with the entrepreneurs, emphasizing the importance of partnerships in entrepreneurial success.
Mr. Ifedi Eze, director at Kodex, encouraged participants to prioritize partnership and collaboration to achieve the shared vision for Anambra’s tech ecosystem.
Chidimma Idika, operations lead at Kodex, provided insights into the company’s activities and commitment to fostering entrepreneurship across Africa.
The ICT Agency team showcased Anambra’s technological advancements under Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s leadership, reinforcing the state’s position as a hub for technological innovation.
Discussions and experience-sharing sessions focused on entrepreneurship and ongoing developments in Anambra State.
The Governor was commended for his efforts in supporting entrepreneurship.
Mr. Okorie Kalu expressed gratitude on behalf of the young entrepreneurs to the Kodex Africa team and ICT Agency for their contributions and insights, pledging to collaborate with the state for greater achievements.
