WELLCOME TRUST CAREER DEVELOPMENT AWARDS
The career development awards scheme provides funding for mid-career researchers across various disciplines who show potential to become international research leaders. They will enhance their research capabilities, spearhead innovative projects, and bring about significant advancements in knowledge that could enhance human life, health, and well-being. The host institution may be located in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, or low- or middle-income countries (except for India and mainland China). A Wellcome Career Development Award covers the grant holder’s salary (if needed) and research expenses. Typically, the award lasts for 8 years.
