WASSERSTEIN PUBLIC INTEREST FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2024
Harvard Law School is open to receiving applications from international students for the Wasserstein Public Interest Fellowship Program. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications before the deadline via the website http://hls.harvard.edu/
The Wasserstein Public Interest Fellowship Program 2024 aims to provide fellowships to students of any nationality, aiming to bring exceptional public interest attorneys to Harvard Law School to advise students on public service.
Three types of fellowships are offered under this program: Wasserstein Public Interest Fellow, Early Career Wasserstein Public Interest Fellow, or OPIA/HRP Wasserstein Fellow-in-Residence. Candidates dedicated to public interest law with significant contributions to their fields are encouraged to apply.
Value of the award:
- 2-3 Day fellow: $1000 honorarium, funding for travel, hotel, and other expenses.
- OPIA/HRP Wasserstein Fellow-in-Residence: Office space in OPIA and shared office space in HRP, access to Harvard library system, $24,000 stipend for travel, housing, and related expenses.

Eligibility Criteria for Wasserstein Public Interest Fellowship Program 2024:
- Exemplary lawyers distinguished in public interest work.
- Attorneys working in academic or judicial positions are ineligible.
Target group: Efficient attorneys of any nationality.
Documents to be submitted:
- Personal statement (1-3 pages).
- Resume.
- Two or three letters of recommendation.
- Contact information for mentored law students or younger lawyers.
Application Procedure: Two separate application forms are available for 2-3 Wasserstein Fellow positions and OPIA/HRP Wasserstein Fellow-in-Residence. A nomination form is also available to nominate a public interest attorney. Along with the required documents, applicants should submit a statement addressing the nominee’s professional accomplishments and experience, as well as the nominee’s resume.
