The ESCER center (Étude et Simulation du Climat à l’Échelle Régionale) at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) is seeking three graduate students to join their team as part of a project funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada.

Eligibility Requirements for University of Quebec Graduate Scholarship: To be eligible for the University of Quebec Scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Hold a master’s degree in environmental sciences, climate sciences, atmospheric sciences, meteorology, hydrology, physics, geography, mathematics, or a related field. Have significant experience in writing and publishing peer-reviewed scientific papers. Demonstrate autonomy and excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students and faculty members. Possess proficient programming skills in various languages (e.g., Fortran, C/C++, Matlab, Python, Julia, R). Have experience working with large volumes of climate datasets. Show proficiency in English (both oral and written) and a willingness to learn and engage in French-speaking environments.

Benefits of University of Quebec Graduate Scholarship: The University of Quebec Graduate Scholarship provides a scholarship of $20,000 per year. Additionally, a basic stipend of $13,000 is awarded to all full-time students registered for the three years of study, distributed as follows: Year 1: $5,000; Year 2: $4,000; and Year 3: $4,000.
