UGHE MASTERS IN GLOBAL NURSING LEADERSHIP (100% TUITION) SCHOLARSHIP 2026 FOR AFRICAN STUDENTS

The UGHE Masters in Global Nursing Leadership Award aims to educate individuals with a global perspective, leadership dedication, and a commitment to addressing health inequities and disparities. Candidates must demonstrate strong academic integrity.

UGHE’s Office of Admissions evaluates applicants comprehensively, considering various criteria such as professional experience, exams, interviews, and alignment with UGHE’s mission and vision.

Admission to the Masters in Global Nursing Leadership requires meeting the minimum admission requirements for graduate study at the University of Global Health Equity and additional requirements from the Center for Nursing and Midwifery:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program
  • 5 – 7 years’ experience as a registered nurse (RN)
  • Currently employed
  • Current non-restricted RN practice license
  • Letter of support for graduate study from current employer
  • Two professional referees
  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Statement of purpose essay outlining interest in nursing leadership and its relation to MGNL goals
  • Personal interview with UGHE graduate faculty
  • All academic documents must be from accredited institutions
  • Completed applications must include notarized copies of academic documents
  • Proficiency in English for comprehension of learning material and communication at the graduate level

Benefits: Successful candidates receive a 100% tuition scholarship but must commit to completing the program. Failure to do so will require refunding the entire scholarship amount. 80% of the program is delivered online, with students required to have access to computers and high-speed internet. Students attend examinations on campus for 2 weeks each semester. Students must cover all costs outside UGHE’s Butaro campus, including airfare, accommodation, meals, and visa fees. Additionally, students must provide their personal items and toiletries as UGHE does not provide pocket money or living stipends.
