TWENTY STUDENTS ATTAIN FIRST CLASS HONORS AS TRINITY UNIVERSITY HOSTS INAUGURAL CONVOCATION

At the inaugural convocation ceremony of Trinity University today, twenty students will be presented with certificates for achieving first-class honors.

During a media briefing ahead of the three-day convocation event, themed ‘Convoking a Galaxy of Trinity Stars’ at the institution center in Yaba, Lagos, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof Clement Kolawole, made the announcement.

The convocation encompasses both the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic sessions. Prof Clement Kolawole shared details, stating, “The convocation shall be for the graduating students in the 2021/22 and the 2022/23 academic sessions. We have nine students graduating in the 2021/22 set, with two making First Class, while 64 will be graduating in the 2022/23 academic session with 18 making First Class. The two sets of graduates become the first set of the alumni of Trinity University.”

Regarding honorary doctorate degrees, he disclosed that the institution will confer awards upon two recipients on Friday: Florence Ajimobi, the wife of the former governor of Oyo State, and Dr. John Obaro, the founder of SystemSpecs Limited.
