TREEPZ CEO ONYEKA AKUMAH WINS AFRICA’S 40 UNDER 40 AWARD IN UGANDA

Onyeka Akumah, the founder and CEO of Treepz, a leading corporate mobility solutions startup in Africa, was awarded a medal at Africa’s 40 Under 40 CEOs Awards in Kampala, Uganda.

Event and Recognition:

The prestigious Africa’s Under 40 CEOs Awards & Summit took place on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, serving as a significant platform to honor young and influential African business leaders under the age of 40. Organized annually by the Africa Under 40 CEOs Forum, the award aims to recognize visionary leaders who are driving economic growth and creating transformational impacts across the continent through exceptional leadership.

Recipients of the 2024 Africa’s Under 40 CEOs Awards were also granted an Honorary Doctorate Degree (PhD) from Prowess University in Delaware, USA, and were named Fellows of the Global Institute of Leadership & Governance in South Africa.

Onyeka Akumah is a renowned technology serial entrepreneur with a notable track record. Before founding Treepz in 2019, he significantly contributed to various sectors of the African economy:

  • Real Estate: Through Small Small Technology, serving 12,000 homeowners or tenants.
  • Agriculture: Founding Farmcrowdy in Nigeria, Mazia Honey & Tea in Ghana, and Nyeri Hills Coffee in Kenya.

Additionally, Akumah has invested in over 10 promising startups. He was recently celebrated as one of the Top All-Star Mentors from Africa by Techstars, a global early-stage investor. Furthermore, he served as a visiting lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Marketing at the Rome Business School.
