The Internet Society Pulse Research Fellowship supports researchers in conducting data-driven analysis or developing tools that contribute to an open, globally connected, secure, and trustworthy Internet.
Program Goals:
- Promote the development of original, high-quality Internet measurement research.
- Cultivate a community comprising researchers, data specialists, network engineering experts, policymakers, and journalists to fortify and expand the Internet.
- Enhance partnerships among global organizations dedicated to data-driven research for understanding Internet trends.
- Innovate and implement techniques to enhance data gathering, analysis, and visualization on the Pulse platform.
- Explore interdisciplinary research topics focused on fortifying the Internet’s resilience, robustness, and openness.
Requirements: The Pulse Research Fellowship invites researchers worldwide interested in utilizing state-of-the-art or innovative Internet measurement techniques to explore specific areas contributing to an open, globally-connected, secure, and trustworthy Internet.
Funding: The selected applicant will receive a generous stipend based on experience and time commitment.
Duration: The fellowship spans approximately six months, requiring applicants to be available for six months during 2024, with the start date determined upon final selection.
Location: The chosen candidate can work remotely from any location worldwide.
Selection Criteria: Applicants will be evaluated based on:
- Relevance of the proposal to Pulse focus areas.
- Knowledge of Internet measurements and experience necessary for achieving proposed research goals.
- Commitment to dedicating at least 25 hours per week to the fellowship.
How to Apply: Incomplete or ineligible applications and those submitted after the deadline will not be considered. The Internet Society will conduct an OFAC check on the selected applicant, and the fellowship will commence only upon clearance.
