SESAME WORKSHOP WRITERS ROOM
The Sesame Workshop Writers’ Room offers a fellowship opportunity by the creators of Sesame Street aimed at discovering emerging writing talent from underrepresented racial backgrounds. This intensive 8-week program, located at Sesame Workshop’s New York City office, involves weekly meetings with industry professionals including writers, producers, agents, and executives. Participants are required to complete at least one script during the program. Up to 8 writers representing diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds will be chosen, with the possibility for up to two individuals to receive creative development deals and additional mentorship opportunities.
