REPORT: MMIA LAGOS E-WING SET FOR TOP-NOTCH FACILITIES MAINTENANCE.

A report from Techeconomy indicates a significant improvement in the maintenance of facilities and janitorial services at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos, particularly in the E-Wing section. This improvement has been attributed to the efforts of Mr. Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, to revolutionize the aviation sector.

According to Techeconomy’s correspondent, who visited MMIA, there has been a noticeable enhancement in the administration and management of the airport, particularly under the current leadership. The E-Wing of the airport has undergone thorough cleaning and received a facelift compared to previous conditions.

This positive development at MMIA is largely credited to the exemplary leadership of Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku (Mrs.), the MD/CEO of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), who assumed office in December 2023. Mrs. Kuku has been committed to upgrading the aviation industry and ensuring positive changes.

Lakewood Development Company Limited, a facility maintenance and janitorial service provider, has played a significant role in maintaining the E-Wing of the international airport. They have been commended for their outstanding service delivery and the use of state-of-the-art equipment.

Festus Keyamo, in his vision to reposition the aviation sector, aims to improve revenue generation, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, enhance infrastructure, support local airline businesses, and promote human capacity development.

The recent improvements in the Nigerian Aviation sector, particularly at MMIA under Mrs. Kuku’s leadership, reflect the renewed hope advocated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is essential for all sectors of the economy to emulate the diligence and service delivery observed in the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
