PRAGUE CIVIL SOCIETY CENTRE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME
The Prague Civil Society Centre Fellowship Programme provides a three-month residency in Prague for civil society leaders, journalists, and activists. This opportunity allows participants to reflect, reset, network, explore new possibilities, and work on their projects.
They are specifically interested in applicants who:
- Address new challenges faced by civil society and independent media in their country or region, such as pressure, censorship, criminalization, and security issues.
- Prepare for change and develop strategies for the future.
- Adapt their work to unprecedented circumstances or seek new models of sustainability.
- Strengthen anti-war and decolonial initiatives.
- Develop projects focusing on human rights, urbanism, ecology, social work, or media in response to existing societal demands.
Coverage: The Centre will cover travel expenses, provide a modest but comfortable apartment, offer a small daily allowance for living in Prague, and assist with visa arrangements. Fellows will also have access to a shared office space with internet and a printer.
Who Can Apply: Individuals eligible to apply include human rights activists, members of NGOs and civic groups, experts and researchers, environmental, cultural, and urban activists, as well as media experts and journalists. Citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, whether residing in these countries or based outside, are welcome to apply. Applicants should have significant prior experience.

Fellowship Periods: 2024/2025 fellowships will be held in three time slots:
- Slot 1: 15/09/2024 – 15/12/2024
- Slot 2: 15/01/2025 – 15/04/2025
- Slot 3: 01/05/2025 – 31/07/2025
- The slots will be assigned to selected applicants by the Prague Civil Society Centre
