NNPC SETS MAY 1st DEADLINE TO END FUEL CRISIS

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) assures Nigerians that fuel scarcity and queues will end by May 1st. They claim to have over 1.5 billion liters of product readily available, enough to last for at least 30 days.

A recent logistical issue caused a three-day disruption in distribution, but NNPC insists it’s been resolved. They acknowledge some may be exploiting the situation for personal gain, but emphasize the product scarcity itself is minimal.

Independent marketers are optimistic queues in Lagos and Ogun will ease off this week, but Abuja might take longer due to distance and infrastructure challenges. They expect more product to reach distributors by Tuesday or Wednesday, leading to a gradual normalization across the country.
