NATIONAL AIRSPACE MANAGEMENT AGENCY (NAMA) ADVISES OFFICERS APPROACHING RETIREMENT TO ESTABLISH STABLE AND RESILIENT FAMILY FOUNDATIONS
The Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Ahmed Umar Farouk, encouraged individuals nearing retirement to redefine their roles as parents to enjoy the benefits of post-work life. He made these remarks in Abuja during the opening of the 2024 NAMA pre-retirement workshop, themed “Making Extraordinary Happen in Your Post-Work Life,” organized in collaboration with Instinct Resource Services Limited.
Speaking to the participants, Farouk, represented by Egbadon Isemihomon, the Director of Legal Services/Company Secretary at NAMA, advised them to reflect on their past and future, emphasizing the importance of building strong family foundations during retirement. He highlighted that a supportive family is crucial for a positive retirement experience and urged participants to view this period as a time of reflection and planning for a fulfilling post-work life.
The Chairman of Instinct Resource Services Limited, Mal. Yakmut Alhassan, who transitioned from a civil service career to the private sector after retirement, shared his perspective. He conveyed that retirement, far from being the end of an era, marked the beginning of a new and vibrant chapter in his life. Alhassan described the post-retirement years as an opportunity to rediscover oneself and pursue passions that had long been dormant.
