MARGARET MCNAMARA MEMORIAL FUND SCHOLARSHIPS
The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund Scholarships provide education grants to outstanding women from developing countries who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to empowering women and children. Applications are submitted online through the MMMF website during specified program cycles for different regions (US/Canada, South Africa, and Latin America).
Eligible applicants must:
- Show dedication to empowering women and children in developing nations.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Plan to return to a developing country within two years of completing their degree or commit to working in a developing country for at least two years to support women and children.
- Be 25 years old by the application deadline.
- Maintain satisfactory academic performance.
- Be nationals of countries listed on the MMMF Country Eligibility List.
- Be enrolled at an accredited academic institution for a full academic year.
- Not be related to staff of the World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, or Inter-American Development Bank.
- Not have previously received an MMMF grant.
- Be enrolled as full-time students with relevant student visas.
Eligible students are those from developing countries studying at accredited universities in the United States or Canada.
Applicants need to prepare digital copies (in pdf, jpeg, or png format) of various documents, including passport ID pages, visa pages, university registration proof, and transcripts/reports. They also require verified email addresses for their referees.
Additionally, applicants must provide a summary of their thesis (if applicable), personal story, commitment to women and children, course of study, future career plans related to this commitment, and details of their financial situation for the upcoming academic year.
