LUCE/ACLS PROGRAM IN RELIGION, JOURNALISM & INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
The Luce/ACLS Program in Religion, Journalism & International Affairs deepens public understanding of religion by advancing innovative scholarship on religion in international contexts and by equipping individual scholars and institutions of higher education with the capacities to connect their work to journalism and the media and to engage audiences beyond the academy.
The program offered two kinds of awards: collaborative programming grants for universities and fellowships for scholars who study religion in international contexts. The final competition for the fellowships was held in 2020. The 2022-23 competition includes collaborative programming grants to support efforts by US-based accredited institutions of higher education with strengths in the study of religion, journalism, and media to pursue programs that catalyze interdisciplinary and cross-institutional collaborations.
The program is made possible by a grant from the Henry Luce Foundation.
