LG ELECTRONICS HAS CONTRIBUTED A SOLAR-POWERED BOREHOLE TO A COMMUNITY IN ABUJA.
lg electronics, a renowned technology and innovation leader on a global scale, partnered with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation to commemorate the United Nations World Water Day by donating a solar-powered borehole to the Gudu Community in Abuja.
This year’s theme, ‘Water for Peace,’ underscores the critical importance of water in fostering stability and prosperity worldwide. In regions where water is scarce, contaminated, or access is unequal, tensions can escalate, emphasizing the need for proactive measures to address water-related challenges and promote sustainable water management to prevent conflicts and encourage collaboration.
A series of events marked the celebration, including a Peace walk around FCT and a special press conference attended by relevant partners, international NGOs, Federal Ministries representatives, and private corporations.
Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, the Minister, expressed gratitude during the commissioning of the solar-powered borehole, highlighting the significance of the donation to the Gudu Community’s World Water Day celebration.
