JAMB’S RESPONSE TO EXCESSIVE FEES CHARGED BY CBT CENTRES, EXCEEDING ₦7,700

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a caution against the exploitation of candidates at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers.
In a tweet posted on Wednesday, the examination body highlighted that the sanctioned registration fees stand at ₦7,700 for candidates opting for the mock exam and ₦6,200 for those who choose not to.
JAMB’s advisory comes in response to concerns raised by candidates who have reported instances of being charged more than the prescribed fees at certain centers.
The board encourages candidates to report any such occurrences to the nearest JAMB office or send details via direct message (DM).

“JAMB strongly disapproves of any form of extortion against its candidates. If you possess evidence of a CBT Centre collecting fees exceeding the approved amounts of ₦7,700.00 with mock or ₦6,200.00 without mock, please report such a center to the nearest JAMB office or DM the details,” stated JAMB.
