IWD 2024: SIFAX GROUP DISTRIBUTES FOOD ITEMS TO 500 IJORA RESIDENTS
About five hundred residents of Ijora community in Lagos have received free food items donated by SIFAX Group, a prominent business conglomerate with interests in maritime, aviation, oil & gas, financial services, and hospitality.
Mrs. Wunmi Eniola-Jegede, Executive Director of Business Development & Strategic Planning, stated that the current economic situation and the desire to support Christian and Muslim faithful in one of the company’s host communities prompted the donation.
“SIFAX Group is known for supporting noble causes nationwide, particularly in areas where we operate. In light of International Women’s Day and to aid citizens observing fasting – both Christians and Muslims – we decided to distribute these food items to needy residents of Ijora. Essentially, it’s a way of giving back to society and the community where we are active.”
The Ojora of Ijoraland, Oba Fatai Oyeyinka Ojora, praised SIFAX Group for their generous gesture, expressing gratitude for bringing joy to his underprivileged subjects. He assured the company of continued support from the community and offered prayers for its ongoing success.
