INAUGURATION OF MASS TRANSIT SYSTEM BY FCTA

he FCT Administration (FCTA) officially launched a private sector transportation initiative on Tuesday to establish a secure and efficient mass transit system in Abuja.

The introduction of 14 high-capacity, air-conditioned buses marks the initiation of a transportation scheme aimed at curbing the menace of robbery associated with the “one-chance” syndicate in the city.

During the inauguration, the Mandate Secretary of Transportation for FCTA, Arc Ubokutom Nyah, highlighted the vision of FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, to transform the transportation system in Abuja. Nyah also mentioned that additional private sector investors are anticipated to contribute to the initiative, providing reliable and affordable alternative transportation options.
