HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SUMMONS CBN GOVERNOR TO ADDRESS REVENUE LEAKAGES
The House of Representatives Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has issued a summons to Yemi Cardoso, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), regarding alleged revenue leakages on the REMITA platform.
The summons, conveyed in a letter signed by the Committee’s Chairman, Rep. Bamidele Salam, is titled “Re: Investigation Of Revenue Leakages Through Remita Platform and Non-Compliance Substantively with Standard Operating Procedure and Other Allied Service Level Agreement 2023 (HR.373/11/2023).”
The Committee Chairman expressed concern that the CBN Governor’s failure to appear before the committee and address the raised issues has hindered the investigation into the purported revenue leakages through the REMITA platform.
The CBN Governor is required to appear before the committee on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, without fail.
