HARVARD GLOBAL HEALTH INSTITUTE LEAD FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2024/2025 FOR PROMOTING WOMEN IN GLOBAL HEALTH. (FULLY FUNDED)
Applications are now open for the 2024/2025 Harvard Global Health Institute LEAD Fellowship Program.
The LEAD Fellowship for 2024-2025, a 1-year program aimed at enhancing leadership skills in individuals from low- and middle-income countries, is currently accepting applications. Offered in collaboration between the Harvard Global Health Institute (HGHI) and the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the program is designed to foster the ongoing development of women leaders in global health.
The 2024-2025 LEAD Fellowship features a 12-month virtual curriculum with a 4-week in-person experience in Spring 2025. Throughout the fellowship, participants will benefit from one-on-one leadership coaching, mentorship, executive education courses, speaking events, leadership workshops, and networking opportunities.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must work full-time in the global health field, possessing a minimum of 15 years of professional experience beyond their education. Global health-related work undertaken as a university student is not considered professional experience.
- Substantial leadership experience and demonstrated potential for further growth are required.
- Applicants must have the support of their employer and an internal mentor within their organization.
- A leave of absence (or equivalent) from their home institution during the 4-week in-residence experience in April 2025 is mandatory.
- Applicants must be eligible to obtain a J-1 visa for travel to the United States in April 2025 and must be available to reside in Cambridge, MA for four weeks. The fellowship covers visa fees, housing, and flights, and a living stipend is provided during the stay in the United States.
- In the two years prior to the fellowship, candidates should not have participated in any full-time fellowship lasting 4 months or longer.
- All application materials must be submitted by 5 PM EST on Friday, March 15th, 2024.
BENEFITS:
- During the in-residence month on campus, fellows receive a living stipend for those four weeks. The fellowship covers visa fees, housing costs, flights to and from Cambridge, MA, and all course fees.
- Core pillars of the fellowship include executive leadership training with a personal coach, 1:1 mentorship by Harvard faculty, speaking opportunities at Harvard and global events, enrollment in Harvard courses across different departments, and private skill-building workshops led by leading experts.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
- Applicants will be notified in May 2024 if selected for this position.
- The fellowship will run from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025.
