At a reception held in Kano, the governors of Kano and Jigawa states, Abba Kabir Yusuf and Umar Namadi, respectively, along with the emirs of Bichi, Kazaure, Dutse, and Gaya, expressed admiration for Bashir Dalhatu as he assumes the role of the new chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) for the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF).
Speaking on behalf of the emirs, the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, commended Dalhatu’s integrity and esteemed elder status, deeming him well-suited to lead the ACF. Emir Bayero expressed confidence in Dalhatu’s ability to listen to diverse voices and contributions.
Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, representing his Kano counterpart, lauded Dalhatu’s tested and trusted character, emphasizing his unquestionable integrity. Governor Namadi highlighted that Dalhatu assumes leadership at a crucial time for Arewa and expressed hope that he would bring the region back to the era of Sardauna.
The Chairman of the reception organizing committee, Alhaji Shehu Muhammad, expressed confidence in Dalhatu’s wealth of experience, anticipating that it would significantly contribute to addressing the security and economic challenges facing the Northern region.
