GOVERNMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION STATE- SPONSORED SCHOLASHIPS FOR 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR
Applications are welcome from qualified individuals in Ghana seeking consideration for scholarship awards for the academic year 2024/2025. These scholarships are applicable to institutions of higher learning in the Russian Federation.
Eligibility Criteria:
Undergraduate:
- Must be a Ghanaian citizen residing in Ghana.
- Completion of Senior High School Education (WASSCE) within the last two years (i.e., 2021 or 2022).
- Aggregate scores of six (6) to nine (9) for Medicine and a minimum of aggregate fifteen (15) for other programs.
- Age must not exceed twenty-three (23) years.
Postgraduate:
- Possession of a second class upper bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
- Submission of a list of publications (if available).
- Proficiency in the Russian language (both spoken and written).
- Completion of National service with two (2) years of post-qualification experience.
- Age limit of thirty-five (35) for Masters and 40 years for Ph.D.
- For Medical Specialty applicants, a minimum of 5 years of working experience after completing the General Medical Programme.
Subject Areas:
- Undergraduate: General and Clinical Medicine, Nuclear Science and Technology, Engineering and Computer Sciences and Technology, Agricultural Science, Architecture, Biological Sciences, Geosciences, Electronic/Radio Engineering, Communication, and Social Sciences.
- Postgraduate: Clinical Medicine (Residency Training), Nuclear Power Engineering and Technology, Engineering and Computer Science Technology, Overland Transport Technologies (Railway, Bridge, and Subway Construction), Veterinary Sciences.
Application Procedure:
The Russian Government has implemented an online application system for which all candidates must complete the application form on www.education-in-russia.com. Additionally, applicants need to upload the following documents to their personal accounts, along with notary-certified translations (from English to Russian):
- Passport (bio-data or front page only)
- Educational documents (WASSCE certificate, Diploma, Transcript)
- Medical report, confirming the candidate is free from hepatitis and tuberculosis diseases
- HIV test
The deadline for online applications is October 31st, 2023, and applications in “draft” status will not be considered.
Submission to the Secretariat:
Applicants are required to print a hard copy of the signed online application form and submit it, along with all necessary academic documents, no later than Friday, November 10th, 2023, to the following address:
