FULBRIGHT-NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC STORYTELLING FELLOWSHIP
Semi-finalists in the Fulbright U.S. Student Program have the opportunity to apply for the Fulbright-National Geographic Award. This allows them to propose an additional grant of up to $20,000 from the National Geographic Society. This additional funding can be used to expand their research or enhance the presentation of their story. If selected, awardees become part of the National Geographic Explorer community. Proposals should delve into a globally relevant issue, serving as an extension to the Fulbright Open Study/Research project. The National Geographic Society focuses on Ocean, Land, Wildlife, Human History & Cultures, and Human Ingenuity. Funding opportunities within these areas include conservation, research, storytelling, education, and technology.
Grantees from National Geographic must first be selected for a Fulbright Study/Research Grant by the eligible country they applied to.
