FORMER PRESIDENT JONATHAN TO INAUGURATE KASHIMBILLA DAM AND AIRPORT

Former President Goodluck Jonathan is scheduled to inaugurate the Kashimbilla hydropower station in Taraba State on February 23. The 40 megawatts generated by the hydropower station is expected to significantly enhance electricity supply, particularly in southern areas, including Takum, Donga, Ussa, Ibbi local government areas, and neighboring states.

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has established a high-powered committee, chaired by the Chief of Staff, Dr. Jeji Williams, to oversee the commissioning of the power station. Governor Kefas highlighted the economic benefits of the Kashimbilla hydropower station, emphasizing its potential to boost cargo transportation, with the Kashimbilla airport becoming the second airport in the state.
