Members of the House of Representatives Committee on Power have affirmed that the federal government is determined to address the challenges of power generation and distribution in the country.

This was disclosed in Calabar on Wednesday when the committee visited the Calabar Power Generation Company Ltd, a subsidiary of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company, as part of their constitutional responsibilities and functions.

Chairman of the House Committee, Victor Nwokolo, who represents Ika South and Ika North Federal Constituency in Delta State in the National Assembly, stated that President Bola Tinubu views the power issues in the country as critical.

Nwokolo explained that this is why the Minister of Power and the House Committee on Power are actively touring power infrastructure across the country to address any challenges impeding power supply.
