COMMENCEMENT OF COMPLETE CLOSURE OF 3RD MAINLAND BRIDGE

The Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos will undergo a complete closure for reconstruction works, according to the Federal Ministry of Works. The closure is scheduled to begin at 12 pm on Wednesday, February 28, and continue until 12 pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Engr (Mrs) Olukorede Kesha, the Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, emphasized that the bridge will not be accessible to traffic during this critical 24-hour period. Road users are advised to utilize alternative routes, and motorists are urged to collaborate with deployed traffic management officials to ensure smooth movement and minimize discomfort during this period.

The Lagos State Government has also advised all road users to follow the alternative routes provided, as the Third Mainland Bridge will be closed to traffic for 24 hours.
