BRITISH COUNCIL 90TH ANNIVERSARY RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH
The British Council is thrilled to celebrate its 90th anniversary with a unique research partnership! In collaboration with the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH) at the University of Edinburgh, they’re offering two exciting fellowship opportunities for postdoctoral researchers.
Who can apply?
- Are you a postdoctoral researcher based in a country that receives Official Development Assistance (ODA) and where the British Council operates? (Check the British Council website for a list of eligible countries)
- Have you completed your PhD within the last seven years? (This is an early-career fellowship program)
- Are you passionate about conducting postdoctoral research and sharing your knowledge with others?
What does the fellowship offer?
- Conduct your research at the prestigious IASH for the first ten months of the fellowship.
- Benefit from a monthly bursary of £2,500 to cover your living expenses.
- Receive travel support to help you get to Edinburgh.
- Enjoy access to desk space, library resources, and academic mentorship at IASH.
- Collaborate with a vibrant community of visiting fellows.
- Engage with the British Council throughout the program, including potential visits to UK offices.
- Participate in knowledge exchange and dissemination activities in your home country, with the option to spend time at a local British Council office (up to two months).
