A unique opportunity awaits young changemakers to attend the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montreal, Canada, thanks to the Net Zero Scholarship supported by bp.

As bp advances towards net zero, the company is dedicated to collaborating with and learning from young innovators who are reshaping the energy landscape for both people and the planet. The Net Zero Scholarship offers recipients the chance to join bp’s delegation at the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal, facilitating an exchange of ideas with peers from various sectors.

The scholarship is open to individuals making a positive impact in the following areas:

  1. Advocating for progressive climate policies
  2. Enhancing existing low carbon energy technologies like solar and wind
  3. Improving access to low carbon energy
  4. Innovating to reduce emissions in households, regions, cities, and industries

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age 18–30
  • Open to nationals of all countries
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering positive change
  • Capacity for leadership
  • Understanding of key local and/or global issues

One Young World actively seeks applicants impacting at least one of the specified areas.

Benefits:

Net Zero Scholars will receive:

  • Access to the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal
  • Hotel accommodation from September 17 to 21, 2024
  • Round-trip flights to and from Montréal
  • Catering, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
