AZERBAIJAN SCHOLARSHIP: STUDY IN AZERBAIJAN FOR FREE
Calling all international students! The Government of Azerbaijan is offering a prestigious scholarship program for the 2024 academic year. This is your chance to pursue your academic goals at a leading Azerbaijani university with complete financial support.
Who can Apply?
- Citizens of member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM)
- Age requirements:
- Undergraduate and Medical programs: Under 25 years old
- Graduate and Residency programs: Under 30 years old
- Doctoral programs: Under 40 years old
What’s Covered?
The scholarship provides a comprehensive package to cover all your needs while studying in Azerbaijan:
- Tuition fees
- Round-trip international flight (economy class)
- Monthly allowance (AZN 1000) for meals, accommodation, and utilities
- Medical insurance
- Visa and registration costs
Required Documents:
- Completed application form
- Diplomas or transcripts from previous studies
- Passport copy
- Health certificate (including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B & C tests)
- CV or resume
- Motivation letter
- Proof of English proficiency (meeting specific program requirements)
Important Note: All documents must be translated into English or Russian and notarized.
Application Process (Step-by-Step):
- Nomination: Secure an official nomination from your country’s relevant government body (Ministry, Embassy, etc.) by May 20, 2024 (6 PM Baku time). Submit the required documents to them for this first stage.
- Online Application: If nominated, proceed to the second stage by applying through the Study in Azerbaijan Centralized Admission Service (SIACAS) website (portal.edu.az) from June 16 to July 1, 2024. Choose the appropriate admission channel and submit your application electronically.
- Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a review of documents and may be interviewed (online/Skype).
- Results Announcement: Scholarship award notifications will be issued by July 2024.
- University Admission: Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the universities for their specific admission procedures.
