AUSTRALIA’S 2024 GRIFFITH VICE CHANCELLOR’S INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Griffith Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship rewards outstanding students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degree programs at Griffith University. With a community of over 55,000 students, the university spans five campuses across South East Queensland, alongside a Digital campus, and boasts a global alumni network exceeding 200,000 graduates.

Griffith University, a public research institution founded in 1971, opened its doors in 1975, pioneering Australia’s first degrees in environmental science and Asian Studies. The university, named after Sir Samuel Walker Griffith, who served as Premier of Queensland and the first Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia, played a pivotal role in the Federation of Australia and authored the Australian Constitution.

To qualify for the Griffith Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship, applicants must accept both their program offer and the scholarship by the specified deadline. Failure to accept the scholarship within the stipulated timeframe will result in withdrawal. Once enrolled at Griffith, the scholarship will be applied before each trimester’s census date, contingent upon meeting ongoing enrollment requirements. Any remaining fees must be paid by the census date.

This scholarship, available for undergraduate and master’s programs, covers 50% of tuition fees throughout the program’s duration.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Citizenship from a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
  • Minimum GPA of 6.0 or above on a 7-point scale or equivalent.
  • Receipt of an offer to study at Griffith by the scholarship application deadline.
  • Fulfillment of all academic and English language entry requirements for the chosen program.
  • Full-time enrollment starting in 2024, 2025, or 2026.

Application Process:

  1. Apply for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at Griffith University.
  2. Upon receiving the Letter of Offer, submit the scholarship application by the specified closing date, including academic records and a personal statement.
  3. If all eligibility criteria are met, a University panel will review the application, with outcomes communicated to applicants accordingly.
