The African Union (AU) is excited to announce the second round of the African Union Civic Tech Fund (AUCTF)! This initiative aims to empower African organizations and projects that are harnessing technology to drive positive change across the continent.
Who can apply?
- African organizations or initiatives: Registered and operating in any African Union member state.
- Civic tech focus: Developing innovative solutions that use technology to promote citizen engagement, transparency, and community-driven development.
- Inclusivity focus: Led by and addressing the challenges faced by African women, youth, and marginalized groups.
What’s on offer?
- Grants up to €15,000: Financial support to help you scale and expand your existing civic tech projects.
- Capacity building program: Tailored workshops, mentorship sessions, and support from experts to strengthen your technical skills and operational efficiency.
Alignment with African Union Agenda 2063:
AUCTF 2.0 prioritizes projects that align with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, a blueprint for achieving inclusive and sustainable development across Africa.
How to Apply:
Applications are open to local African organizations and projects. To apply, you’ll need to submit the following documents:
- Completed application form
- Company registration document (or that of a registered partner organization)
- Most recent organizational report (or proof of activity in the last year)
- Budget and financial management structure
- Sustainability strategy
- Signed letter of recommendation
