Anambra State’s journey to technological prowess achieved a significant milestone by securing the First Runner-up position in E-Government Implementation during the 11th National Council on Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy (NCCIDE) meeting held in Kano.
This recognition not only underscores Anambra’s commitment to technology-driven governance but also showcases a series of pioneering accomplishments in the domain of E-Government Implementation.
Key Accomplishments:
Digital Transformation of ANSEC Processes: A comprehensive digitization of Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) procedures eliminates the necessity for expensive printing, rendering the process more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable.
E-Government Infrastructure Enhancement: The foundational examination of E-government Infrastructure sets the groundwork for a digital revolution. The acquisition and distribution of cutting-edge PCs and laptops further the goals of digitization throughout the public sector.
Collaboration and Network Integration: Collaborations with the Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN) and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in the state aim to establish an Internet Exchange Point, focusing on enhancing interconnectivity and reducing Internet access costs.
Standardization of IT Projects: The deployment of the ITPRS Portal ensures the digitization and standardization of IT projects in the State, issuing certificates as evidence of compliance.
Advancements in Communication: The State-wide introduction of the Unified Messaging Service (UMS) facilitates improved communication and collaboration among all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), providing @anambrastate.gov.ng email addresses for seamless communication.
Revolutionizing Land Administration: The Ministry of Lands spearheads the implementation of a Centralized e-GIS System to revolutionize Land Administration in Anambra State.
Innovative Project Management: A collaboration with the Tony Blair Institute (TBI) results in a Digital Delivery Dashboard, enabling real-time project monitoring for the State’s 5 Solution Agenda.
Development of ICT Policies: An inclusive draft ICT Policy document that incorporates the perspectives of all relevant stakeholders and aligns with the vision of “Everything Technology and Everywhere Technology.”
Adoption of Blockchain Strategy: Anambra State has embraced the Federal Government’s Blockchain Strategy, fostering and enhancing the blockchain ecosystem within the state.
