AMERICAN ACADEMY OF NURSING FELLOWSHIP

The American Academy of Nursing (AAN) Fellowship, established under the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) Fellowship program, aims to provide talented, early-career health science scholars in nursing with the opportunity to participate in evidence-based healthcare or public health studies that improve patient care in domestic and global healthcare systems. The fellowship especially welcomes nominations of historically underrepresented candidates and is part of the NAM Fellowships for Health Science Scholars program.

Timeline

Fellowships will be awarded in even years. The nomination packets are due on June 3, 2024, at 3:00pm ET, and the awardee will be notified on July 25, 2024. The fellow orientation week at the NAM is scheduled for September 10-12, 2024, and the fellow will be introduced to the Membership at the NAM Annual Meeting on October 21, 2024.
