Plateau gov lifts curfew on Jos
Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has announced the lifting of the curfew earlier imposed on Jos, the state capital.
The governor announced this on Thursday in a statement signed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere.
The statement read, “The Plateau State Government has fully lifted the curfew imposed on Jos-Bukuru Metropolis, following the peaceful conduct of residents and an improvement in the security situation.
“His Excellency, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, had imposed a 24-hour curfew on the area after thorough consultations with security agencies, in response to hoodlums attempting to hijack the nationwide protest in the state.”
