Calling all passionate educators in Lagos and Ogun State! The 2024 Safe Online Youth Fellowship Program, a collaborative effort by NerdzFactory and Meta, is searching for its next cohort of digital safety champions.
Are you a serving NYSC corps member with a strong interest in online safety and empowering students? This program is for you!
What the Program Offers:
- Develop Your Expertise: Gain in-depth training on digital safety best practices.
- Leadership Bootcamp: Participate in a fully-funded, 3-day residential program focused on leadership and digital safety.
- Upskill for the Future: Receive a scholarship to learn a valuable tech skill.
- Network & Grow: Connect with like-minded individuals and access mentorship opportunities.
- Show Your Impact: Implement digital safety projects in your community and receive recognition for your efforts.
- Earn Recognition & Rewards: Get a completion certificate and a one-time stipend upon successful program completion.
Eligibility:
- Current NYSC corps member serving in Lagos or Ogun State.
- Actively teaching in a school within Lagos or Ogun State.
- Demonstrated passion for promoting digital safety and digital literacy.
- Availability to attend a 3-day physical bootcamp (date to be announced).
Program Timeline:
- May 10, 2024: Applications Open
- May 24, 2024: Application Deadline
- May 27 – May 31, 2024: Finalist Interviews
- June 2024: Leadership Bootcamp
- July – October 2024: Workshops and Project Implementation
- November 2024: Program Closing & Recognition Ceremony
