INTRODUCING THE NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR/CEO OF SKYWAY AVIATION HANDLING COMPANY {SAHCO}, ADENIKE ABODERIN
The board of Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC has officially appointed Adenike Aboderin as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, effective from February 1, 2024.
Adenike Aboderin assumes this role following the completion of Basil Agboarumi’s tenure. She brings abundant financial and executive leadership experience from both private and public sectors.
Her expertise encompasses strategy formulation, financial advisory, oil & gas, infrastructural, marine and transport development, business/risk management, and public policy.
Prior to this appointment, she held the position of Director Finance and Accounts at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) until December 2023, overseeing finance, accounts, credit control, and budget.
In the public sector, she served as Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Ogun State on Trade and Investments and supervised the state’s Economic Planning Department from 2011 to 2014.
Adenike Aboderin has extensive experience in manufacturing, transportation, investments, and social development. She has contributed significantly to the Presidential Transition Committee and chaired the sub-committee on social issues in 2015.
Before her public service roles, she held senior management positions at Skye Bank PLC (now Polaris Bank Limited), Citibank Nigeria, Premium Securities Limited, and Commerce Bank, amassing over 20 years in the banking sector.
Adenike Aboderin, a seasoned banker, has a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Lagos. She holds fellowships from the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB) and the Association of National Accountant of Nigeria (FCNA). She is also an AMPAP certified International Airport Professional (IAP).
Her continued education includes postgraduate courses at Harvard Business School and the Lagos Business School, covering global strategic management, advanced management programme, and others in trade, investment, energy, and infrastructure financing.
Currently pursuing another master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex, UK, Adenike Aboderin demonstrates strong motivational and strategic thinking skills in business, transportation, marine, and energy management.
She remains dedicated to addressing Nigeria’s development, social, and unemployment challenges, showing a passion for industrialization and job creation.
SAHCO, an aviation ground handling company, provides a range of services including passenger handling, ramp handling, cargo handling, aviation security, baggage reconciliation, crew bus and executive lounge services, and other ground handling services.
