Nigerian Scholarship Award & Education Bursary Award (2023/2024)
Calling all Nigerian students!
The Federal Ministry of Education is offering scholarships and bursaries to qualified Nigerians for the 2023/2024 academic year at public universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education in Nigeria.
Who can apply?
- Nigerian Scholarship Award (NSA):
- Postgraduate students with a minimum of a Second Class Upper (Upper Division) bachelor’s degree.
- Full-time students at federal or state universities (all levels except first year).
- Undergraduate students with a CGPA of at least:
- 4.0 on a 5-point scale
- 5.0 on a 7-point scale
- equivalent on a different grading system
- Students with disabilities must meet the same CGPA requirements.
- Education Bursary Award (EBA):
- Full-time students in their second year or above at federal or state universities, polytechnics, monotechnics, or colleges of education.
- NCE and HND students with a CGPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

- Science and Technology
- Medicine and Medical Sciences
- Education
- Agriculture
- Liberal Arts/Social Sciences/Management Sciences
- Entrepreneurial Studies
- Information and Communication Technology
- Environmental Sciences
How to apply:
- Visit the Federal Ministry of Education website (https://education.gov.ng/) and click on the “Federal Scholarship Board” icon.
- Read the guidelines carefully and then complete the online application form.
- Print the completed form. Do not submit multiple applications.
- Attach the following documents:
- Letter of admission to your institution
- CGPA result
- National Identity Number
- State of Origin Certificate
Important dates:
- Application period: April 2nd, 2024 to May 13th, 2024
Important information:
- Awards are only valid for studies in Nigeria and start at the beginning of the academic year.
- You cannot hold this scholarship and another scholarship at the same time, or use it for part-time studies.
- You cannot change your course or institution while receiving the award.
