CICOPS SCHOLARSHIPS 2025 FOR RESEARCHERS FROM DEVELOPING COUNTRIES TO STUDY IN ITALY

Applications are now open for the Committee for International Cooperation and Development (CICOPS) 2025 Scholarships.
Calling all researchers from developing countries!
The University of Pavia and EDiSU are offering scholarships to support short-term research visits (4-12 weeks) in 2025. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with Pavia faculty and advance your research in development studies.
Who can apply?
- You must be a researcher affiliated with a university, research center, or international organization in a developing country (as classified by the World Bank).
- You must have at least two years of experience in teaching or research.
- You cannot be currently enrolled in a doctoral or postgraduate program at an Italian university.
What are the benefits?
- Funding to cover your stay in Pavia for 4-12 weeks (between January 13th-July 20th or September 8th-December 21st, 2025).
How to apply:
- Find a collaborator: Secure a letter of invitation from a professor or researcher at the University of Pavia who you wish to collaborate with.
- Apply online: Submit your application through the CICOPS website by May 31st, 2024 (link: http://cicops.unipv.it/cicops-scholarships/).
- Upload required documents:
- Curriculum vitae (European format preferred) with a list of publications (name the file: Surname_Name_CV)
- Invitation letter from your Pavia collaborator (name the file: Surname_Name_Letter)
Important notes:
- Applications missing the correctly named CV and invitation letter will be disregarded.
- Only apply after receiving the acceptance letter from your Pavia contact professor.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
