GILBERT S. OMENN FELLOWSHIP

The Gilbert S. Omenn, M.D., Ph.D. ’61 and Martha A. Darling *70 Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at the Omenn-Darling Bioengineering Institute at Princeton University offers an opportunity for exceptional postdoctoral candidates to contribute to the Institute’s research. Awardees will hold the title of Gilbert S. Omenn, M.D., Ph.D. ’61 and Martha A. Darling *70 Fellow and will receive a $70,000 salary with benefits and a conference travel allowance.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates must have received their Ph.D. in a related field (e.g., Bioengineering, Biology, Physics, Chemistry) and have no more than two years of post-Ph.D. experience prior to the anticipated start date. Candidates currently affiliated with Princeton University are also eligible to apply under the specified post-Ph.D. experience criterion.

Application Requirements

Interested applicants must complete the application form and submit a brief project description, cover letter, CV, and a brief letter of support from a Princeton faculty mentor.

Timeline

Fellowships will be awarded in odd years.

  • March 2025 | Call for nominations opens
  • June 2025 | Nomination packets are due at 3:00pm ET
  • July 2025 | Awardee is notified
  • September 2025 | Fellow orientation week at the NAM is held
  • October 2025 | Fellow is introduced to the Membership at the NAM Annual Meeting
