JAN ROBEYST TRUST FUND FOR SMALL CONSERVATION GRANTS IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA

The Jana Robeyst Trust Fund (JRTF) is currently accepting applications to provide financial support to early career scientists/conservationists and non-profit organizations for carrying out crucial field conservation and research work in Africa.

Funding Information

The Trust Fund will offer small-scale support, providing up to a maximum of 1,500 euros per application.

Eligible Projects

Projects with a clear conservation value based in a country in sub-Saharan Africa are eligible for funding. Preference will be given to projects related to elephants, and education projects will also be considered. Additionally, travel costs for presenting the project at a conference or participating in a workshop/training program, as well as the purchase of essential field equipment, will be considered.

Ineligible Projects

Pure research will not be funded. Research projects will only be considered if they demonstrate applied benefit to conservation and/or target an identified conservation need. Living costs, thesis production costs, retrospective costs, fundraising costs, and payment of a debt will not be considered for funding. Office equipment and participation in internship and volunteer programs will not be considered unless they are essential in completing field work or benefit an identified conservation need.
