THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AUTHORITY ON DEVELOPMENT (IGAD) REGIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME 2024 FOR REFUGEES, RETURNEES, AND IDPS!

Applications are currently open for the second round of the IGAD Scholarship Programme for refugees, returnees, and internally displaced persons (IDPs)!
The IGAD Regional Scholarship Program aims to facilitate access to higher education for youth from refugee, returnee, and IDP backgrounds, fostering self-reliance and regional integration. As a flagship initiative of the IGAD Executive Secretary, the program seeks to financially support 35 students who are admitted or enrolled in accredited higher education institutions within their host community or place of origin. By nurturing future leaders equipped with quality education and training, the program strives to promote self-reliance and regional integration.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must be members of displacement-affected communities, citizens of an IGAD member state, and admitted or enrolled in an accredited institution within the IGAD region.
Benefits:
Financial assistance covers tuition, accommodation, subsistence, and medical expenses, up to €3,189 per student per year.
