UNESCO/POLAND CO-SPONSORED ENGINEERING FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME 2024 (FULLY FUNDED)

Applications are now open for the 2024 UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Engineering Fellowship Programme. With a view to promoting human resource capacities in the developing countries and to enhancing international understanding and friendship among nations and peoples , the Polish National Commission for UNESCO and the UNESCO Chair for Science, Technology, and Engineering at the AGH University of Krakow (Poland) are placing at the disposal of UNESCO thirty (30) fellowships for the benefit of a number of developing Member States . Beneficiaries of these fellowships will be given the opportunity to undertake an individual research programme in the field of Science, Technology and Engineering for a duration of 6 months between 1 October 2024 and 31 March 2025.

The fellowship spans 6 months and will be held at the UNESCO AGH Chair, located at A. Mickiewicza Ave 30, PL 30-059 Krakow, Poland.

Benefits:

Facilities Provided by Polish Authorities:

– Free tuition and access to university facilities as per local regulations.
– Monthly stipend of 1800 PLN for BSc students and 2200 PLN for MSc students (1 USD ≈ 4 PLN). Fellows are responsible for covering living expenses and accommodation in Poland with this allowance.
– One-time special allowance of 1800 PLN for BSc students or 2200 PLN for MSc students upon arrival in Poland (for the 6-month duration). This sum will cover various activities during the stay in Krakow, including mandatory medical check-ups, cultural visits, conferences, workshops, and seminars related to the studies.

Facilities Offered by UNESCO:

– Coverage of international travel expenses (from the beneficiary’s country to and from Poland).
– Health insurance for medically fit fellowship recipients, subscribed by UNESCO for the duration of the fellowship.
– One-time pocket allowance of US$120.
