TINUADE SANDA CELEBRATES TWO YEARS IN OFFICE AS EKO DISCO
Dr. Tinuade Sanda, the managing director of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), commonly known as Eko DisCo, has marked her two-year anniversary in office on March 30, 2024, despite facing challenges.
Despite recent controversies surrounding her position, Sanda remains steadfast and draws inspiration from Michelle Obama’s quote, “When they go low, we go high.”
In a post on her Instagram handle (@tinuade_sanda), she highlighted the significant achievements of EKEDC during her tenure.
During her two years as MD/CEO, EKEDC has achieved a remarkable total collection of N14.9 billion as of March 28, 2024. Notably, in January 2024 alone, the company recorded its highest collection of approximately N17.1 billion.
In February, EKEDC set an ambitious target for Aggregate Technical Commercial and Collection (ATC & C) losses at 11.85%. However, under Sanda’s leadership, the company exceeded expectations by achieving a remarkable single-digit rate of 4% just a month later. ATC & C is a measure of operational efficiency for distribution companies.
In her post titled “Celebrating Milestones: Two Years at EKEDC’s Helm!”, Sanda expressed pride in the company’s achievements despite challenges, emphasizing their commitment to service and efficiency.
She stated, “These milestones have significantly propelled our service and efficiency forward,” and emphasized resilience in the face of adversity, echoing Michelle Obama’s words.
