SUMMER HEALTH PROFESSIONS EDUCATION PROGRAM (SHPEP) SHPEP NATIONAL PROGRAM
The Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) offers a no-cost summer initiative enabling students to delve into various fields such as medicine, dentistry, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, public health, and more. Held at 12 partner institutions, the program provides students with opportunities to cultivate competencies necessary for successful applications to health profession programs, chart academic paths, gain clinical exposure, and establish professional networks. Eligible applicants are high school graduates currently enrolled as freshmen or sophomores in college, who must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or individuals granted deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA) status.
