The Boehringer Ingelheim Fund PhD scholarships target:
- Overseas students studying in Europe
- Individuals with exceptional scientific capabilities
- Dissertations that significantly contribute to scientific research
Academic requirements for the PhD fellowships include holding a diploma or equivalent degree. There are a total of 45 PhD fellowships available.
The duration of the scholarships is two years, with the possibility of extension for up to twelve months on a case-by-case basis.
The value of the PhD scholarship includes:
- 1550 euros financial support
- 150 euros for small research-related purchases
- Non-monetary assistance
- Participation in the annual scholarship holders’ meeting in Hirschegg, Austria
- Seminar on scientific presentation techniques
Application requirements include being under 27 years old, possessing exceptional scientific abilities, and having a dissertation that significantly contributes to scientific advancement. Additionally, applicants should not have any other sponsorships.
During the sponsorship period, all publications must be submitted, and a final report on the research project is required.
