WRITING FOR JUSTICE FELLOWSHIP
Pen America’s Writing for Justice Fellowship will engage six writers—whether emerging or established—to craft written works of enduring value that shed light on crucial issues surrounding mass incarceration and ignite public discourse. Proposed projects might encompass—but are not limited to—fictional narratives; literary or long-form journalistic pieces; theatrical, television, or film scripts; memoirs; collections of poetry; or multimedia ventures. Fellows will receive an honorarium ranging from $5,000 to $8,000, depending on the project’s scale.
