2024 GOVERNMENT OF SLOVAK REPUBLIC NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM | FULLY FUNDED

Details of the National Scholarship Program by the Government of the Slovak Republic:

The National Scholarship Program, funded by the Government of the Slovak Republic, offers fully funded scholarships for international students pursuing Masters and PhD studies. The monthly scholarship amount is up to €734.

Eligibility Criteria for the 2024 Government of Slovak Republic National Scholarship Program:

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. University students studying outside Slovakia.
2. Second-level higher education (master’s) students or those who have completed at least 2.5 years of their university studies in the same program.
3. Students planning a study stay in Slovakia during their higher education outside the country.
4. Acceptance by a public, private, or state university in Slovakia for academic mobility.

Eligible Applicants for the NSP:

A) Master’s (PhD) students pursuing higher education or scientific training outside Slovakia, accepted by a Slovak university or research institution for academic mobility.

B) International university teachers, researchers, and artists invited to Slovakia for teaching, research, or artistic stays.

Benefits of the 2024 Government of Slovak Republic National Scholarship Program:

The scholarship aims to cover living costs, including food and accommodation, during the study, research, or teaching stay in Slovakia. Assistance with accommodation and formalities can be provided by the host institution or managed independently by the scholarship holder.

Monthly Scholarship Amount:

• Master’s students: €400
• PhD students: €734

Required Documents for the National Scholarship Program:

Applicants must submit the following documents with their online application:

1. Curriculum vitae.
2. Motivation letter.
3. Detailed study program.
4. Two recommendation letters from the applicant’s university teachers.
5. Confirmation from the home university stating the applicant’s regular student status.
6. Scan of the applicant’s bachelor’s diploma, diploma supplement, and state examination certificate (if applicable).
7. Admission/invitation letter from the host university in Slovakia, specifying the period of stay
