Applications are now open for the 2024 Orascom Construction Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program.
The Onsi Sawiris Scholarship is a private merit-based scholarship initiative founded in 2000 by Orascom Construction, reflecting the company’s dedication to fostering excellence and accomplishment. Orascom Construction initiated the Onsi Sawiris Program to allocate corporate resources to educational endeavors that enhance the communities in which it operates.
This program stands as a pioneering example in Egypt, showcasing private sector engagement in sustainable educational programs. The primary goal is to facilitate the academic growth and character development of young Egyptians, equipping them with the necessary tools to advance their careers and, consequently, contribute to the betterment of their communities.
Since its inception in 2000, the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program has supported the educational aspirations of 93 exceptional students. Through this program, Orascom Construction extends full tuition scholarships to Egyptian students aspiring to pursue their degrees at renowned universities in the United States, with the ultimate objective of strengthening Egypt’s economic competitiveness.
